Clothing Manufacturer for Startup Brands
Clothing manufacturer specialized in startup brands. MOQ 50 pcs, fast samples, hands-on guidance, no long-term contracts. From Pakistan, ships worldwide.
Launching a clothing brand is hard enough without manufacturers refusing to work with you because your orders are too small. Mughal Apparel specifically supports startup clothing brands with low minimum order quantities (50 pieces per style/color), fast sample turnarounds (5–7 days), patient customer service that walks you through tech packs and sampling, and zero long-term commitment requirements. We've helped 100+ startup brands launch their first collections, and many of them are now established brands placing 5,000+ unit orders with us. We invest in early-stage relationships because we're playing the long game.
Key Capabilities

Why Most Manufacturers Don't Work With Startups
Many established clothing manufacturers require MOQs of 300–1,000+ pieces per style, retainer fees, or annual revenue commitments — making them inaccessible to anyone launching their first brand. The economics make sense: small orders consume the same setup time as large orders, so per-unit profit is low. We've made a deliberate business decision to support startups despite the lower per-order margins because (1) startups grow into volume clients, (2) we genuinely enjoy helping new brands launch, and (3) we believe accessible manufacturing democratises the apparel industry.

What to Prepare Before Contacting a Manufacturer
To get accurate quotes and make the most of our time together, prepare: (1) Reference photos of similar products you admire, (2) Basic specifications — fabric weight, fit type, color preferences, sizes you'll offer, (3) Quantities — realistic launch quantities per style/color, (4) Timeline — when do you need product in hand for your launch, (5) Budget — total budget for samples + first production. With this info we can deliver a quote in 24–48 hours.

Common Startup Mistakes (And How We Help You Avoid Them)
Top startup mistakes we see: (1) Ordering too many sizes — start with M, L, XL only and add S/XS/XXL after first sale data. (2) Over-investing in marketing before validating product — get product right first. (3) Choosing the cheapest manufacturer — ends up costing more in defects and rework. (4) Skipping samples — you can't validate fit and quality without samples. (5) Vague tech packs — leads to misunderstandings and bad first orders. We coach against all of these as part of our onboarding process.

ViewFrequently Asked Questions
I'm a startup with no apparel experience. Can you help?
Absolutely — that's exactly who we work best with. We'll walk you through the full process: defining your product (silhouette, fabric, fit), creating tech packs if needed, choosing fabrics, sampling iteration, production costing, packaging decisions, and shipping logistics. Many of our long-term clients started knowing nothing about manufacturing.
What's the minimum I need to spend to launch a brand?
Realistically $3K–$8K for your first capsule. A typical first-launch budget: $1K samples (3–5 styles), $4K production (4 styles × 50 pcs × $20 average), $1K shipping, $500 packaging/labels, $1K marketing/photography. With $5K you can launch a real brand. We've worked with brands starting at $3K and scaling to $500K annual orders.
Do I need a tech pack to start?
Not for white-label products (we use existing tech packs). For private-label custom designs, you need basic tech pack info: silhouette/style description, fabric specifications, color preferences, size range, and any special construction details. We can build the full tech pack with you if you provide reference photos and basic preferences.
How long does it take to launch?
Typical first-launch timeline: Week 1: Product definition and quotation. Week 2–3: Tech pack development. Week 4: First sample iteration. Week 5–6: Sample approval and order placement. Week 7–11: Production. Week 11–14: Shipping. Total 10–14 weeks from first contact to product in hand. We can compress this to 6–8 weeks if you start with white-label products.
What payment terms do you offer startups?
Standard terms: 30% deposit to start production, 70% balance against shipping documents. For very small first orders (<$3K) we sometimes ask 50/50. Sample costs are paid in full upfront (typically $50–$150 per sample). All payments via wire transfer in USD, EUR, or GBP.
Can you guide me on product pricing?
Yes — we'll provide our manufacturing cost so you can build your retail pricing. As a rule of thumb: retail price = manufacturing cost × 4–6 for streetwear/athletic apparel. So a $20 cost hoodie retails at $80–$120. Markup needs to cover packaging, shipping to customer, payment processor fees, marketing, returns, and profit.
What if my first order is delayed or quality fails?
We have a written quality guarantee. If samples don't match approval standards, we re-do at no extra cost. For production defects above 5% AQL we provide replacements or partial refunds. Late delivery due to our fault triggers air-freight upgrade at our cost. We protect first-time clients because we want long-term relationships.
Do you have a retainer or annual fee?
No — we don't charge retainers, signup fees, or annual minimums. Each order is its own transaction. We earn your repeat business through quality and service, not contractual lock-in.
