BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), now operating under amfori, is a European social-compliance audit framework adopted by major European retailers (H&M, Inditex/Zara, C&A, Aldi, Lidl, Carrefour and others). BSCI audits cover 13 principal categories: management systems, workers' involvement and protection, freedom of association and collective bargaining, no discrimination, fair remuneration, decent working hours, occupational health and safety, no child labour, special protection for young workers, no precarious employment, no bonded labour, environmental protection, ethical business behaviour. BSCI audits are scored A through E, with A and B considered acceptable for European retailer buying. Mughal Apparel undergoes annual third-party BSCI audits.
