All-over print (AOP) manufacturer — sublimation cut-and-sew

All Over Print (AOP) Manufacturer

All over print manufacturer specializing in sublimation apparel. Cut-and-sew AOP, jerseys, shorts, leggings. MOQ 50 pcs from Pakistan. Vibrant, fade-proof prints.

All-over print (AOP) is the gold standard for full-color, photographic, and edge-to-edge printed apparel — and it's only achievable through sublimation printing on cut-and-sew construction (not finished garments). Mughal Apparel specialises in AOP manufacturing for streetwear, sportswear, and lifestyle brands wanting bold, complex graphics that wrap seam-to-seam without breaks. We sublimate on 100% polyester or high-poly substrates, cut printed panels, and sew them into finished garments — producing the true all-over print look that distinguishes serious AOP brands from print-on-demand alternatives.

Sublimation Process Explained

Sublimation printing uses heat to convert solid dye into gas, which then bonds with polyester fibers at the molecular level. Process: (1) Design is printed on transfer paper using sublimation inks. (2) Paper is placed against white polyester fabric. (3) Heat press (200°C) for 30–60 seconds converts dye to gas, which penetrates fabric. (4) Cool down — dye returns to solid state inside the fibers, permanently coloring them. (5) Fabric is now fully printed and ready to be cut and sewn into garments. The result: print is part of the fabric, not a layer on top of it.

Designing for AOP

AOP designs work best when designed for the panel layout from the start, not adapted from existing flat artwork. We provide pattern templates showing exact panel shapes for hoodies, tees, shorts, leggings, etc. Designers create artwork that wraps correctly across panels, ensuring designs meet at seams as intended. Common AOP design approaches: continuous patterns (camouflage, abstract gradients, geometric patterns), placed graphics that extend across panel boundaries, and photographic prints sized for the garment. We'll send pattern templates to your designer.

AOP vs Print-on-Demand (POD)

Print-on-demand services (Printful, Printify) sublimate on finished garments — this leaves visible print breaks at seams and limits design complexity. POD is convenient for testing designs at $0 inventory, but for serious AOP brands the quality difference is significant. Our cut-and-sew AOP requires upfront inventory commitment (50 pcs MOQ) but produces dramatically superior visual results that justify premium retail pricing. Most AOP brands serving fashion-conscious customers choose cut-and-sew over POD once they validate market demand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between AOP and standard printing?

Standard screen printing places ink on top of fabric in specific locations (typically chest, back, sleeve). AOP (all-over print) covers the entire garment, including across seams and over panels, with no print breaks. AOP is only achievable via sublimation on cut-and-sew construction (sublimation on finished garments leaves print breaks at seams). The result is a dramatically more impactful, fashion-forward aesthetic.

What fabrics work for sublimation AOP?

Sublimation requires 100% polyester (or high-poly blends, minimum 65% poly) on a white or very light substrate. Polyester accepts the dye permanently when heat-pressed. Cotton CANNOT be sublimated (it bleaches but doesn't accept color permanently) — cotton is for screen printing only. For AOP brands, this means most products are made from technical polyester fabrics rather than traditional cotton.

Why does AOP require cut-and-sew construction?

If you sublimate on a finished garment, the print stops at seams (because seams are folded and don't accept the print uniformly). Cut-and-sew AOP works differently: we print full panels of fabric, then cut and sew them into garments. This way, the print is continuous across the panel and meets correctly at seams. It's more labor-intensive but produces dramatically better results.

What MOQ for AOP production?

50 pieces per design and size combination. AOP MOQs are slightly higher than standard due to setup costs (digital file preparation, paper printing, fabric printing). For a multi-design AOP collection, 50 pcs each works well — many of our AOP clients launch 4–6 designs at 50 pcs each ($3K–$5K total cost).

Can you sublimate photographs and photorealistic art?

Yes — sublimation is the only printing method that handles photorealistic art well. Submit high-resolution images (300+ DPI at final print size) and we'll produce print-ready files. Photo-quality results require high-resolution source files — we can't enlarge low-resolution images without quality loss.

Is AOP fade-proof?

Yes — sublimation dye penetrates fabric fibers and becomes part of the material itself (it doesn't sit on the surface like screen-print ink). This means no fading from washing, no cracking from stretching, no peeling, and no plastic hand-feel. Sublimation prints last the lifetime of the garment.

Can you do gradient and color-fade designs?

Yes — sublimation excels at gradients and color transitions because it's effectively a photographic print process. Smooth gradients, color fades, and complex multi-color blends are all standard. This is why sports jerseys (basketball, soccer, MMA) heavily favor sublimation — it enables team-specific design complexity.

What products work best for AOP?

Best AOP categories: cycling jerseys (sublimation is industry standard), MMA fight shorts (full-color team designs), basketball jerseys, soccer kits, all-over-print streetwear hoodies, lifestyle tees with maximalist graphics, leggings (especially patterned/abstract designs), and rashguards. Less ideal: structured garments like blazers, items requiring specific fabric like denim, or products where natural cotton hand-feel is essential.
