What is sublimation printing and how does it work?
Sublimation printing uses heat to transfer special dye directly into polyester fabric fibers. Unlike printing on top of the fabric, the dye becomes part of the material itself, resulting in prints that won't crack, peel, or fade even after hundreds of washes. The process requires polyester-based fabrics with at least 90% polyester content for best results.

Is there a limit to the number of colors in a sublimation design?
No — sublimation printing has no color limitations. Unlike screen printing where each color requires a separate screen, sublimation prints the full design in a single pass, meaning gradients, photographic images, and complex multi-color designs cost the same as single-color designs.
What file format do you need for sublimation artwork?
For sublimation printing, we require high-resolution files in AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS, or PDF format at 150+ DPI. PNG files at 150+ DPI are also acceptable. We provide a detailed artwork template specific to each garment style to ensure correct positioning and sizing.
Can sublimation be used on cotton fabrics?
Sublimation works best on fabrics with 90% or higher polyester content. On cotton or cotton-blend fabrics, sublimation produces faded, washed-out results and is not recommended. For cotton garments, we offer screen printing, DTG, or heat transfer printing instead.
