Most of our US streetwear clients fall into one of three buyer profiles, and the right approach is different for each. Profile 1: DTC founders launching their first collection. Average order: 3-5 SKUs × 50-100 pieces. Budget: $5K-15K. They need full tech-pack support (most don't have one) and 25-35 day lead time. We assign a dedicated account manager who walks them through fabric selection and decoration spec. About 60% of our US business. Profile 2: Established streetwear brands ($1M-10M revenue). Average order: 8-15 SKUs × 200-500 pieces. They have tech-packs, brand books, and Pantone references ready. We move faster (20-day production on repeat fabric/decoration) and the relationship is mostly email/Slack, no hand-holding. About 25% of our US business. Profile 3: Wholesale/college merchandise programs. Average order: 1-3 SKUs × 1,000-5,000 pieces. Lower margin per unit but predictable repeat orders 2-4× per year. We compete here against Honduran and Mexican factories that have shorter shipping but pay higher labor. About 15% of our business. Shipping to US: air freight 3-5 days via Karachi/Lahore → JFK/LAX/MIA at $4-6/kg, sea freight 25-35 days FCL 20'/40' to USEC/USWC at $0.80-1.20/unit depending on volume. US HS codes correctly classified (we ship enough volume to know the duty implications cold for our top 15 garment types). For first-time US sourcing, the questions I'd ask: what's your target retail price (drives the manufacturing tier I recommend), what's your launch budget (drives MOQ flexibility), and do you have a 3PL set up (drives DDP vs FOB Incoterm choice).
