The phrase 'cut and sew' gets misused constantly. When a factory tells you they do cut-and-sew, here's what you should verify: do they hold the pattern, cut from a marker, and sew from scratch? Or do they take stock blanks and add decoration? Real cut-and-sew means we receive your tech-pack (or develop one with you), grade the pattern across your size run (XS through XXXL standard), lay the marker, cut fabric in stacks of 50-100 ply on automated cutting tables, then route panels to sewing stations where Japanese-spec Juki/Brother/Pegasus machines stitch them into garments. That's what happens on our floor. We have ~100 production-floor operators, 80% of them with 10+ years on cut-and-sew lines. The senior operators trained the junior ones. Most learned the trade in Sialkot's leather goods or sports equipment factories before moving to apparel. That depth of skill is why we can run cut-and-sew at 50-piece MOQ — labor productivity, not fabric MOQ, drives the unit economics. What we cut: cotton jersey, French terry, fleece (280-500 GSM), ribstop, twill, denim, woven shirting, polyester-spandex performance, nylon-spandex 4-way stretch, leather (cowhide, lambskin, goatskin), neoprene, and technical waterproof fabrics. What we don't cut: anything we haven't worked with before — if your tech-pack specifies an unusual fabric, we'll source 2-3 mill samples, lab-dip to your Pantone, and run a fit sample before quoting bulk pricing. Pattern files stay on our server for repeat orders. Most brands repeat the same patterns every 6-9 months with seasonal colorway/decoration changes. No re-development cost on repeats.
