What is GRS recycled certification?

GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certifies recycled content in products including recycled polyester (rPET from PET bottles) and recycled cotton, with full chain-of-custody verification. Mughal Apparel produces GRS-certified recycled garments on request.

Detail

GRS (Global Recycled Standard) is an international third-party certification that sets requirements for chain-of-custody verification, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions in products containing recycled materials. GRS applies to products with a minimum 20% recycled content. Most commonly used for recycled polyester (rPET from post-consumer PET bottles), recycled cotton, and recycled nylon. Recycled polyester sublimates identically to virgin polyester — buyers cannot tell the difference in finished sports jerseys, MMA shorts or cycling kit. Mughal Apparel produces GRS-certified recycled garments on request — fabric sourced through GRS-certified Pakistani mills with full chain-of-custody documentation traceable on the Textile Exchange platform. Standard rPET content options: 50%, 70%, 100% recycled polyester.
